Possible chipset problem after you install Vista try upping the chipset voltage a little and make sure you install the latest chipset drivers.Then try the second stick..But im thinking maybe that...

That MoBo only has 2xDIMM. Can you give us the RAM details. The Vendor/make, model number, all the details you can give us.

I had a problem years back after putting another Stick of RAM in, I tried resetting the CMOS and that sorted it, maybe something to look at before Flashing your BIOS.
